This artwork shows an Islamic geometric pattern found in the Alhambra, Granada, Spain. The original pattern is found on a wall in the complex and is carved into plaster.
 
Safira has recreated this in her pen and ink style using a straight-edge and compass. She draws directly on to the paper, with the grid lines showing, different thicknesses of pen lines are visible to show the different stages of the drawing process.
 
Created using ink pens and gouache paint on 300gsm cold-pressed paper. Size in frame 60cm x 60cm.
 
The artwork is part of the ‘Circles’ collection created in 2025 and exhibited at StudionAme, Leicester, (August 2025) and at Kismet Gallery, London (May – June 2026).
 
The artwork comes framed in a black wooden frame, framed with glass. Provided with mirror plates and D rings so you have a couple of options of how to hang it at home.
 
The artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity.
