This artwork shows an eight-fold star pattern, a classic pattern found throughout the Islamic world.  
 
Safira has recreated this in her ink pen style using a straight-edge and compass. She has drawn directly on to the paper, with the construction grid lines showing. The lines are visible showing the different stages of the drawing process. She painted this using watercolour paints.   
 
Created using ink and watercolour paints on 300gsm cold-pressed paper. Size in frame 60cm x 60cm.
 
The artwork is part of the ‘Circles’ collection created in 2025 and exhibited at StudionAme, Leicester, (August 2025) and at Kismet Gallery, London (May – June 2026).
 
The artwork comes framed in a black wooden frame, framed with glass. Provided with mirror plates and D rings so you have a couple of options of how to hang it at home.
